What skills should the student expect to learn?

The OSHA 10-Hour Outreach Training Course for Construction and General Industry are designed to increase hazard awareness and avoidance through an introduction to OSHA and OSHA standards. The 10-Hour course focuses on the basic and common safety hazards including employer and employee requirements.
All OSHA outreach courses include at least an hour introduction to OSHA which includes  how they were established, who they are, what they do, how the inspection process works, penalties and reporting to OSHA.

OSHA 10-Hour for General Industry required topics include :

– Walking and Working Surfaces
– Fall protection
– Exit Routes and Emergency Action Plans
– Fire Prevention Plans, and Fire Protection
– Electrical Safety

Are any exams required for OSHA 10-Hour Training Courses?

OSHA does not require written exams to successfully complete the 10 -Hour Course.  Safety Consultants USA’s instructors ensure that students are engaged to increase content retention.  We utilize oral quizzes throughout the training

When will my OSHA 10-Hour card expire?

OSHA10-Hour for Construction and General Industry cards do not expire. However, OSHA Regulations change often and it is recommended that you refresh every 4 years.

Will the course be customized for my company?

OSHA Outreach Training is structured around a strict outline of topics. Safety Consultants USA’s outreach trainers’ experience allows them to tailor information to each client, within the parameters set out by OSHA. We work with clients to choose the electives that will most benefit your employees.

Can we complete the training in one day?

No.  OSHA mandates that the 10-Hour for Construction and the 10-Hour for General Industry be completed over at least two days, with not more than 7.5 hours of training on any one day.
